I remember being told once that there are trees that will retain their leaves over winter to give a place of shelter for birds and other small animals. The fact that the leaves you found were still such a brilliant yellow is wonderful.

It was completely unexpected to find such a beautiful autumn tree in mid-January. Thank you for the your clarification.
Wow! So beautiful composition. The leaves with that lively ocher tone, crossed the black fence wth the background of bricks of the bulding, in the background the stairs can be seen. Wonderful Vova Zinger. Thanks for share.

Thanks a lot, Elvira. I was attracted to this scene because the leaves disappeared almost everywhere, and on this tree there were many of them and they were of a very beautiful color.
Good morning =) oh I love this one very much. Again looking for the fairy who made the leaves stick and I think I found her in the bottom left corner, kinda tricky to spot. You need to look really close. Thank you so much for sharing, have a pawesome day, stay healthy, happy and safe.
Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts inspired by this photo. It is very interesting. This photo looks nice to me, but I didn’t know it had so many hidden parts. Thanks again and I wish you the same.

You have some stunningly beautiful photography and an obvious love for your subjects. It’s a sheer delight to see such beauty in the city through your eyes. The yellow leaves in this image just pop against the darker background, almost glowing. Gorgeous. Well done, sir! 🙂
Many thanks. I went through the stage where I photographed everything I saw. But today I came to the conclusion that time is very precious and I don’t want to waste my or anyone else’s time on boring photos. Therefore, I decided to share photos that I think might be interesting, make you want to see with your own eyes or learn something new.
Beautiful color and contrast.
Many thanks, Rebecca. I was very surprised to see a tree covered with leaves. They were all dry after the season but still on the tree.

I love your yellow leaves photo! (And I recognize that bridge in your header photo. I’m an hour and a half north of Boston.)
Thank you very much. This is a very beautiful and well designed Zakim bridge. This is our landmark.
You’re welcome. I’ve driven across it many times.
