I agree with the other comments – absolutely looks like a painting! Outstanding! Absolutely caught my attention as soon as I saw it on my email. Thanks for capturing this beautiful moment.

Many thanks. The sparrow is a very common bird in my area, but this bird looks very impressive in this photo.

Many thanks, Dolly. I never paid much attention to this most common bird that can be found on every corner. This time I was just looking for an interesting view of the magnolia flower, and when I saw this bird between the magnolia flowers, I immediately knew that I needed to take this photo. It wasn’t until I opened this photo on my computer that I saw how bright sunlight can enrich the colors of this bird.

Thanks a lot, Lynn. Spring always surprises me. On the one hand, a very ordinary bird, a very common tree in your area, a bright spring day, but on the other hand, all together they create a beautiful view.

Luckily, winter is over in my area. But last year we had some snow even in May when the trees were completely covered with leaves.

Wow that is an awesome shot! My cellphone camera never manages to zoom that close and if, it gets blurry. Or I’m just to stupid to get it right. This is a true master piece right there Vova! Thank you so much for sharing. Have a pawesome day, stay healthy and be safe.

Thank you very much. I have to be honest, although I even have three cameras on my phone, I never use them. Perhaps because I started with a conventional camera a long time ago and it is very difficult to change old habits.

Thanks a lot. I think the background is just as important as the main subject of the photo. They complement each other.

    My colors catch your eye,
your periphery feeling like a dreamscape,
viewing things that cannot possibly be.
    I’m in your sights.
    My arms stretching out,
    then folding in.
I’m tired and need a rest.
    Your sun kissed branches
    serve as a perfect perch.
    I am ordinary
but up close, my colors, extraordinary.
I am the sparrow you walk past.

Thank you very much. I am glad that this most ordinary bird has become a star. This is kind of a surprise for me.

For sure!!! That’s why I love photographing birds close up. There’s so much more to them when you can truly see their plumage 🙂 For instance, starlings look amazing up close because you can really see the different colors and speckles on them. They have long yellow beaks too. It’s so beautiful ❤️

Thank you very much. I tried to photograph birds many times. But I think I’m a little clumsy and I scare the birds a lot, and as a result I don’t have many good bird photos yet. I still do not lose hope of taking a good picture of them.

You will definitely get good ones, especially when you least expect it. I like to sit in a place for about an hour or two that is populated with birds and wait for them to be habituated to me. That is when birds do not have that instant shock by your presence. They get used to you and aren’t as startled. It’s really interesting

It’s very good if you have patience, but I don’t. I want to be in many places at the same time and I’m worried that I might miss something interesting, something that is happening at the moment in some other place and will never happen again.

I can understand that. I am like that a lot 😂, especially when I’m in new places. I’m over excited and almost feel as if I want to run to see it all 🙂🤣. Sometimes, I would have to make myself slow down, literally. Haha 🤣😆

Thanks a lot. I’m sorry that this photo left you with such unpleasant memories. We are lucky, sparrows surround us everywhere so far.
