These herons can stand so still. I saw one on a regular walk route of mine, and I’d not seen one before there. So I thought perhaps it was a statue I just hadn’t noticed. I walked around several directions looking at it as it was so still the feathers seemed to be carved, not real. They are amazing birds. Great photo.

That’s what surprised me as I walked around to try to ascertain if it was a staue or a live bird and it didn’t move.
