    Nice photo, Vova! FYI, it’s a cormorant. They have to do that to dry their wings. I’ve read it’s because their feathers (or maybe only the outer ones) absorb water–makes it easier to dive and to stay submerged. Apparently this is debatable.

      Thank you very much for such interesting information. I understood that he was trying to dry his wings, but the reason for this was completely unknown to me.
