When I was young — in the 1950s especially — we would collect postcards as souvenirs on family vacations. Many of them were made of a kind of linen paper that muted the colors, and your photo looks very much like them. It makes a wonderful souvenir of your visit to this place!
That’s a good observation! I wonder how many travellers purchase postcards to write on and send to their relatives and friends. I send them to elderly family and friends who prefer not to go online.

The colours are muted but appealing nevertheless. The contrasts from the clouds, the sky, the forest and the ripples on the water, all add to the peaceful scene.
