Thanks a lot. When I was a student, I could really enjoy these beautiful yellow flowers because they grew almost everywhere in the park near my institute.
Most varieties do, but not all. I’ve read some other comments and others refer to it as Forsythia which is a different plant here in the UK. I would call this Hamamelis, so I’m thinking maybe we all have different names for it.
This is a great example of framing. By taking the picture up close you turned the bark into a background for the leaves, in way that was probably far more impactful than a wider, more distracted shot. Great work!
Wow! Amazing contrast! Thank’s Vova Zinger.
Thank you very much, Elvira.
You are welcome, Vova Zinger.
Nice contrast!
Thank you.
oh those yellow flowers. We used to grow them in Columbus Ohio… Forsythia is it? Such pretty spring flowers.
Thank you very much. You are absolutely right. This is Forsythia. And I really like to see them when they start to bloom in early spring.
Actually it looks like witch hazel…..that’s wat it’s called in the UK
Beautiful! Love the yellow flowers against the drab background.
Thank you very much.
You’re welcome!
Lovely, Vova. I have a large forsythia in my backyard that has finished blooming and is now leafing out.

The yellow forsythia against the grey background is beautiful!
Thank you. I think the dark background enhances the look of these beautiful yellows even more.
Textures and contrast are lovely 💛✨
Thank you.
The old and the new – lovely contrast.
Thanks a lot. I thought they would look good together.

I love the smell of witch hazel
I didn’t know they had a scent. I’ll try next time. Thanks for the info.
