I have a photo similar to this. I like yours better as it is slightly off center (following that rule of thirds thing) They grow profusely down at the pond below the house. One summer all of mom’s great grandchildren ended up with one in their hands. They brought them back up to the yard and proceeded to have light saber, star wars type battles. What a hilarious mess.

I think it was really messy. But they had fun, as I did at their age, and it was worth it.

Oh yes, it was most definitely worth it. Best part? It was mom’s yard not mine..but even she was laughing, right up until they wanted to go back for more. That was when she asked if that couldn’t wait until next time.

It’s nice when everyone is having fun together and enjoying the time together.

I think everything is worth photographing. The question is when and where. Even for me this plant is very ordinary, but with bright sunlight and interesting surroundings it looks very attractive. Thank you very much.

After posting this photo and comments from visitors, I discovered that this plant has many different names. And it mostly depends on the location. But anyway, when I was young, I also used them as a torch. Thank you and thank you for reminding me of this.
